100 films, 100 years

This year in addition to the book list I’m adding a film list. It’s a deal more extensive. It contains a lot of classics, or at least those ‘oh? How the fuck haven’t you seen that’ films. Otherwise they hold some historical or personal significance or have been recommended strongly by someone who’s taste I admire.

I also got a hold of a whole bunch of Shakespeare production I want to get through. I’ve been out of the theatre scene for a few months now, even longer since I’ve worked on any Shakespeare productions and I’ve been missing it a tad (I’m told The David Tennet Hamlet uses a real skull & just for public record, you all should know, that is what I want done with my head when I die).

The year of production precedes each title and they’re in chronological order. Which is how I intend to watch them. I like the idea of seeing a medium evolve and I wonder what I might see in that process.

The first film is dated 1915 which means if I include something from this year the list will span a hundred years.
